Sustainability

Future-oriented and effective action in the area of sustainability is very important to us and contributes significantly to success in today’s event industry. We always work solution-oriented, both economically and socially, in order to achieve the best possible result and to sustainably promote a sense of responsibility in this area.

Energy

Energy-saving LED ceiling lighting is installed throughout the house, which is controlled efficiently by the control center and a large number of motion detectors.

Natural building materials such as natural stone, wood, marble and parquet were used for the interior.

During the renovation in 2016, energetically optimized window and facade areas were installed, which can be well shaded for events. The facade is equipped with triple-glazed panoramic windows. As a result, we offer foyers that are bright in daylight, use daylight with maximum efficiency and can often reduce the use of lighting.

The Kongresshaus is heated by district heating, which is made from renewable raw materials such as Wood from the Baden-Baden region is produced. Heat recovery systems also use the energy content of the exhaust air.

Catering

We source our Food & Beverage products seasonally and above all regionally and thus support the surrounding businesses at the same time.

Thanks to the in-house gastronomy kitchen, our exclusive gastronomy partner, Hotel am Sophienpark, always prepares all dishes fresh on site, thereby avoiding long transport routes.

In order to save resources and waste, we do not use disposable dishes, do without portion milk in plastic packaging and only offer drinks in reusable bottles.

Mobility

Due to the central location of the Kongresshaus, a large number of hotels of all categories, shops, restaurants and cultural facilities can be reached in the immediate vicinity and within a few minutes’ walk.

The Baden-Baden ICE train station is about a 10-minute drive away and is well connected by an extensive bus network. The “Augustaplatz” stop is right in front of the Kongresshaus. This ensures environmentally friendly arrival and departure for organizers, visitors and employees. Our cooperation with Deutsche Bahn also contributes to this, through which we can offer our customers a discounted long-distance event ticket for our customers, thereby helping to improve their own carbon footprint.

For shorter distances, a bike sharing station is available directly in front of the Kongresshaus.

There is a green electricity filling station with several charging bays in the adjacent congress garage.
